Full Readiness of Armed Forces Against Potential Threats from Washington
Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, Spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, emphasized in a speech regarding potential regional developments: Although initiating a new conflict or war against the Islamic Republic of Iran does not seem logical for the United States, the possibility still exists, as the Trump administration desperately needs a political or military achievement prior to the midterm elections.
Emphasizing the country’s comprehensive defense readiness, he added: Iran is fully prepared to respond to any renewed aggression and hostile action with vastly greater power, and undoubtedly, the consequences of such adventures will be extremely heavy and painful for Washington.
Enhancement of Iran’s Armament Capabilities Following the 40-Day War
Comparing the country’s defense capabilities across two timeframes, the IRGC Spokesperson noted: During the 40-day war, Iran operated primarily based on its older-generation weapons and equipment; however, the nation’s defense industries have since taken great strides, and the armed forces have acquired much more advanced systems and weapons that completely alter the battlefield balance.
Criticism of U.S. Media Censorship and Rejection of Claims Regarding Disunity in Iran’s Leadership
In another part of his remarks, Brigadier General Mohebbi pointed to the role of Western media, stating: Public opinion in the United States is systematically deprived of awareness regarding the true dimensions and casualties of the country’s foreign wars, as mainstream media actively covers up the reality of these ruthless aggressions.
He also dismissed claims made by U.S. officials regarding the existence of discord and lack of cohesion among senior Iranian authorities as outright falsehoods, asserting: Such media narratives are raised solely with the objective of covering up Washington’s strategic failures in confronting Iran.
