IRGC Ground Force Commander Issues Message on New Academic Year, Honors Martyrs of Shajar-e Tayyebah School
Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force, issued a message marking the intersection of the new academic year and the glorious Sacred Defense Week, calling it a valuable opportunity to renew allegiance to the ideals of the martyrs. In his statement, he described this convergence as a reminder of the inseparable bond between “science and faith” and “defense and sacrifice,” emphasizing the pivotal role of students and educators in maintaining national independence.
Shajar-e Tayyebah School: A Symbol of the Convergence of Science and Jihad
In a key segment of his message, referring to the martyrs of the “Shajar-e Tayyebah” school in Minab, Brigadier General Karami stated: “This school has now become a lasting symbol of the bond between science, education, and sacrifice in the history of the Sacred Defense.”
He added that the students and teachers of this school joined the great caravan of martyrs during the early hours of the enemy’s aggression in the recent imposed wars, etching their names into the historical memory of the Iranian nation. The IRGC Ground Force Commander paid tribute to the martyrs of the second and third imposed wars, emphasizing that their struggles demonstrated the resilience and national spirit of resistance of the Iranian people to the eyes of the world.

Emphasizing the importance of the educational arena, the IRGC Ground Force Commander noted: Today, the bastion of schools and universities is one of the most critical arenas of diligent effort to build the future of Islamic Iran.
Addressing students, university attendees, and educators as “officers and flag-bearers of this holy jihad,” General Karami noted:

In the final part of his message, while commemorating the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the esteemed martyrs, and specifically the educator and student martyrs, this senior military official expressed his hope: “Through the blessings of the martyrs’ pure blood and the lofty resolve of the country’s young generation, we shall witness the decisive victory and ever-increasing progress of a powerful Iran under the providence of Imam Mahdi (AS).”
