The Coordinating Deputy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, in an interview emphasizing the comprehensive readiness of the people and military forces against foreign threats, broadcast the Iranian nation’s message of power to the world.
Iran: A Nightmare for Aggressors and a Choking Force
Reacting to recent rhetoric by American officials, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, while stressing defensive vigilance, stated: “This level of readiness is a direct message to the enemies that all members of the Iranian nation, as the soldiers of this land, stand on the scene to defend the territorial integrity of the country.”
Referencing Martyr Mousavi’s strategic description of Iran being “choking” for the enemy, he added: “Iran will suffocate aggressors, and this deterrent capability is an undeniable reality in the region’s security equations.”
The Irreplaceable Role of Soldiers in the Outcome of the War
Pointing to the naming of the seventh day of Sacred Defense Week as “Soldier’s Day,” Rear Admiral Sayyari honored the struggles of the youth who stood firm against fully armed armies. Providing statistics on the sacrifices within the Army’s ranks, he stated: “The Islamic Republic of Iran Army has offered 46,000 soldier martyrs to the Revolution. During the Sacred Defense, the Army Ground Forces deployed 2.5 million conscripts to the front lines, and this volume of manpower formed the backbone of major operations.”
Decisive Operations: Indebted to the Steadfastness of the Youth
The Coordinating Deputy of the Army stated: “It can be said with certainty that without the presence of this young force and homeland-defending soldiers, carrying out glorious operations such as the Breaking of the Siege of Abadan, Fath ol-Mobin, and Beit ol-Moqaddas would have been impossible. Love for the homeland and obedience to the command of Imam Khomeini (RA) were the primary drivers of these great victories.”
Continuous Protection of the Homeland’s Soil
Recalling his presence on the battlefield and the resistance of Khorramshahr, Rear Admiral Sayyari emphasized: “Today, we state with pride that not even an inch of the homeland’s territory was ceded; this achievement is the fruit of the martyrs’ blood and the self-sacrifice of soldiers who defended honor, dignity, and the Revolution with all their being.”
In conclusion, he noted: “No matter how much we speak of the sacrifices of the soldiers, it still fails to do them justice; for we witnessed firsthand how these youths, with love and faith, stood firm in defense of the country under the most arduous conditions.”
