The Commander of the IRGC Greater Tehran, while outlining the new strategy of the armed forces, announced the end of the era of purely defensive engagement and emphasized upgrading the operational readiness of special units for offensive missions.

According to Sepah News, during the special operations drill of the IRGC Hazrat Mohammad Rasool-Allah (PBUH) Corps, Brigadier General Hassan Hassan-zadeh honored the memories of commanders and martyrs of recent battles, charting a new strategic turning point for the missions of the Tehran Corps. He declared clearly: “We have passed the stage of defensive and passive engagement, and now we are on the verge of offensive operations; a development that the enemies will soon realize.”

Shifting the Balance in the Persian Gulf

Pointing to the early rhetoric of enemies regarding the collapse of the system within a short timeframe, General Hassan-zadeh noted: “Today, those same enemies, in a limited geography like the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, are caught in the grip of the authority of the IRGC Navy and Aerospace Force, and their hegemony has been broken. Contrary to their false claims about seizing the Strait of Hormuz, today it is the will of the Iranian nation that manages this vital energy artery.”

The Commander of the IRGC Greater Tehran stated that victory on the battlefield is not achieved solely through equipment, adding: “Steadfast faith, belief in divine victory, and following the school of prominent martyrs determine the fate of wars. Today, we have reached a level of technology in the missile, drone, and naval fields that we have frustrated the enemy in all its goals.”

Readiness for “Lightning” Operations

General Hassan-zadeh announced the organization of offensive teams and divisions for special and “lightning” operations, asserting: “Today, we are ready to deploy anywhere in the country with high speed and pin down the enemy in any situation. Rapid transport capacity and repeated exercises in recent years have provided us with this offensive power.”

In conclusion, referring to the massive 313,000-person “Jan-Fada-ye Iran” drill, he described this organized presence as a symbol of the nation’s will to confront the enemy, stating: “On September 18th (27th of Shahrivar), the world will witness another manifestation of Iran’s greatness and authority. Today, Islamic Iran stands as an ‘Axis of Resistance’ and one of the four decisive powers in global equations.”
