Quadrilateral Regional Meeting and New Security Horizons

According to the military and security media, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, outlined the official positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran on regional security and stability following the conclusion of the quadrilateral meeting of Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. Referring to the region’s geopolitical imperatives, he stated that regional cooperation among key countries should have begun long ago.

According to the SNSC Secretary, the visits of senior officials from these countries clearly demonstrated that the threats and pressures of the United States hold no deterrent power over the will of regional nations.

Outcomes of Resistance and Quadrilateral Convergence

Major General Rezaei, emphasizing that the fruits of the Iranian nation’s resistance become more evident with each passing day, added: “Following the steadfastness of the Iranian people and the might of the Armed Forces, a new and positive atmosphere has emerged in the region on the path of engagement with senior officials from Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.”

He noted that during these discussions, senior officials of all three countries underscored the shared view that the key to resolving the region’s challenges and problems lies in the cooperation and synergy of all four nations.

Emphasis on Indigenous Security and an End to Zionist Aggression

In another part of his remarks, the SNSC Secretary defined the Islamic Republic of Iran’s security doctrine for the region, stating:

“We have concluded that security in West Asia must be indigenous, and any form of foreign interference must be decisively prevented.”
